It’s been a busy 20 months in office for our Councillors, since their election to Central Goldfields Shire Council in November 2020.
One of the first, and most important tasks was to develop the Council Plan 2021-2024 – a requirement for all councils across Victoria. The document sets out our strategic direction by outlining priorities and actions for the coming four years – it identifies the projects that will have the greatest impact in addressing our community’s needs – whilst making sure Council remains financially sustainable and continues to deliver key services.
These priorities are guided by the Community Vision – which was developed with the community through a range of projects and refined and finalised by the Community Advisory Group. It outlines our community’s goals for the future and how our Shire should grow and develop in a sustainable way. Our community vision is to create “An inspiring, thriving, healthy and prosperous community of choice”
