Council has received disaster recovery funding to clear dead trees from the Lake Jindabyne Foreshore, beginning with the area below the stage at the Claypits.

Work is underway, moving across the foreshore, and will continue until Friday 4 August 2023.

Residents and visitors are advised to keep clear of work areas, be alert to heavy vehicles and equipment, and follow the direction of staff and traffic control signage.

Access restrictions to work areas are only in effect while work is underway. Council will reopen these areas at the end of each day, and no work is being conducted on weekends.

A contractor will remove the stumps left behind after tree felling and removal at a later date, to be confirmed and announced soon.

Council appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation as we begin the work to restore and revitalise our foreshore.
