Countdown is on for biggest ever BASSINTHEGRASS

NT Government

One of Australia’s biggest music festivals since restrictions on social gatherings eased kicks off tomorrow at Darwin’s iconic Mindil Beach.

The biggest ever BASSINTHEGRASS – which is set to attract more interstate attendees than ever before – has been a sold out event since January with 14,000 eager music fans counting down the hours until gates open at 11.30am.

They will enjoy 12 hours of non-stop music across two stages featuring some of Australia’s best music acts, plus two leading Territory artists.

Everything is in place for the best BASSINTHEGRASS ever, with extras including a specially curated and choreographed Welcome to Country, a Sunset Corroboree on the beach, a 3×3 basketball display and a silent disco featuring three DJs.

This year the site also includes The Village, where festivalgoers will find the Chill Out Zone featuring customised couches from Anglicare’s Couch Surfing for Youth Homelessness Competition, a massive chill and charge area so you can keep your smartphone juiced up, giant lawn games, merchandise, experts ready to deck you out with glitter and feathers, and even a barber shop.

Ticketholders should plan ahead and allow extra time for entering the festival site, to take into account additional road closures and COVID-19 compliance measures.

This year for the first time, BASSINTHEGRASS fans can immerse themselves in the festival experience more fully with the new BASS Face Filter on Instagram.
