Cowboys, country music and eight seconds of chaos as sold-out PBR Australia Tour bucks into Melbourne

PBR AUSTRALIA

This Saturday night Melbourne is swapping footy balls for buckles as the PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour rides into a sold-out John Cain Arena, proving Australia’s appetite for world-class bull riding has never been stronger.

Victorian fans will have plenty to cheer about, with Victorian riders Toby Collins, Kelsey Pavlou and Sam Woodall all looking to make their mark in front of a home-state crowd.

Current national No.1 Kurt Shephard (Mareeba, QLD) leads the interstate lineup, joined by No.2 Keny Roger de Oliveira (São Paulo, Brazil), No.3 Zane Hall (Athol, QLD), No.4 Ethan Coster (Miriam Vale, QLD) and No.5 Donovan Rutherfurd (Mount Isa, QLD) as the battle for the Australian Championship intensifies.

Adding to the atmosphere, award-winning country music star Hayley Jensen will perform live, bringing her powerhouse vocals, chart-topping hits and high-energy stage show one of Australia’s biggest weekends of professional bull riding. A five-time CMAA Golden Guitar finalist and Australia’s highest-selling female country artist of 2025, Jensen has amassed more than nine million global streams, topped the ARIA Country Album charts twice and recently returned from headline performances internationally. Fans can expect favourites including Giddy Up Cowboy, Country Soul, and her explosive new single Burn It Down.

Melbourne isn’t alone in going a little bit country. The Tour heads west the following weekend, where Adelaide Entertainment Centre is also SOLD OUT.

PBR Australia General Manager Glen Young said the back-to-back sell-outs highlighted the sport’s incredible momentum.

“To sell out both Melbourne and Adelaide is a fantastic result and shows just how much Australians have embraced PBR. The level of competition has never been higher, the country’s best riders are chasing valuable championship points, and when you add Hayley Jensen performing live, fans are in for an incredible night of sport and entertainment.”
