Mayor-elect Cr Chris Meddows-Taylor of Paddys Ranges Ward will be officially elected as Central Goldfields Shire Mayor for the 2021-2022 mayoral term, at a Statutory Meeting of Council to be held next Tuesday, 16 November at 6pm.
Whilst the meeting will be held in person, the ceremony will be closed to the public and the meeting livestreamed to Council’s Facebook page due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Mayor-elect Cr Meddows-Taylor said it was an honour to be re-elected to the position of Mayor for the next 12 months.
“It is a great honour to be re-elected as Central Goldfields Shire Mayor for the next 12 months. We have accomplished so much as Councillors and Council working closely with our CEO and staff our over the past year, but there is still much to do.
“Our community has set a bold, inspiring ten year vision and we have a focused Council Plan to position Council well to create future success and capture high value opportunities to benefit our Community.
“I look forward to continuing to work hard on behalf of our community and leading our advocacy for our Shire to secure this success with all its benefits.”
