Northern Territory Police are investigating after a burglary and criminal damage incident in Gunbalanya over the weekend.
Around 7:10am on Saturday, police received reports that sometime overnight a school in the community had been unlawfully entered with substantial damage caused to the interior.
An unknown quantity of items were also allegedly stolen.
Northern Territory Police attended the scene and took statements with a number of community members identifying possible offenders.
Investigations into the damage remain ongoing and the stolen items are yet to be recovered.
