Critical incident investigation in Eveleigh

A critical incident investigation has been launched following a collision involving a police car in South Sydney this morning.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were responding to a job when a collision occurred between a police vehicle and a trail bike near the intersection of Henderson and Mitchell roads, Eveleigh, just after 7.30am today (Saturday 19 February 2022).

The male rider of the trail bike was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.

A crime scene has been established and a critical incident team from Sydney City Police Area Command will now investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

That investigation will be subject to an independent review.
