Cyclist Dies After Preston Collision

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal collision in Preston this evening.

Emergency services were called to reports a truck had struck a cyclist on Gilbert Road about 5.10pm.

The cyclist, a 28-year-old Brunswick West man, was transported to hospital where he later died.

The truck driver stopped at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
