Dangerous Driving Charge At Gympie

The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit have charged a man arising from investigations into a two-vehicle crash that occurred on the Bruce Highway at Curra on Wednesday, March 20.

A 39-year-old Toogoom man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on April 29.

A 28-year-old man from the Rockhampton area remains in the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed a 4WD Jeep prior to the accident or has dashcam footage to contact police.

Anyone travelling on the Bruce Highway between Maryborough and Curra about 9.30-10pm on March 20 are urged to come forward.
