Dangerous Operation Charge at Pialba, QLD

A 25-year-old Urraween man has been charged in relation to an alleged hooning offence at Pialba on June 3.

It will be alleged a silver Holden Commodore with no number plates conducted burnouts and drove dangerously at the intersection of Boat Harbour Drive and O’Rourke Street at approximately 8.30pm, before the vehicle then left the scene.

Operation Sambrero was established and following extensive investigations, the Wide Bay Tactical Crime Squad yesterday (June 7) issued a search warrant at a Green Close address.

A Holden Commodore was seized from the property, and a 25-year-old man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, wilfully drive in a manner causing noise/smoke, unlicensed driving, unregistered vehicle and uninsured vehicle.

He is expected to appear before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on August 4.
