Dangerous Operation Of Motor Vehicle Charges at Palmview, QLD

Police have charged a woman following a series of dangerous driving incidents at Palmview on 3 July.

It will be alleged that at 1.20pm, police received multiple reports of a white Mercedes-Benz being driven dangerously on Frizzo Road, including at a theme park on Downunder Drive, where several parked vehicles were struck.

Police located the vehicle a short time later and attempted to intercept it.

It will be further alleged the driver failed to stop for police before the vehicle came to a halt a short distance away, where the woman was taken into custody without further incident.

The Mercedes-Benz was reported stolen from a South Brisbane address on 4 June.

A 25-year-old Chermside woman has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evasion offence, and driving a motor vehicle while a relevant drug was present in her blood, along with multiple property-related offences.

She was refused police bail and is due to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 6 July.
