Daniel Andrews’ health crisis continues

Victorians in health emergencies continue to struggle to get the help they deserve as Daniel Andrews’ health crisis continues to worsen.

Earlier today, a Melbourne father waited 30 minutes for an ambulance whilst experiencing a cardiac arrest.

The patient was then transported to Frankston Hospital, arriving at approximately 6am.

Four hours later this patient was still in the same ambulance, ramped eighth in line outside the Frankston Hospital emergency department.

Tragically, cases such as this are all too common following years of mismanagement and underinvestment in healthcare by the Andrews Labor Government.

Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier, said the Victorian Liberals and Nationals have real solutions to end Labor’s healthcare crisis.

“Daniel Andrews has been in charge of Victoria’s health system as Minister or Premier for 11 of the past 15 years – he cannot escape responsibility for this crisis.”

“Before COVID, Victoria had the lowest government funding for hospitals in the nation.”

“Instead of preparing the health system, Daniel Andrews failed to deliver the promised ICU beds, staff and capacity.”

“Now, instead of fixing the mess he has created – Daniel Andrews is cutting $2 billion from the health budget.”

“The people who got us into this mess are not the ones to get us out. Only a change of government will end the health crisis.”

“A Matthew Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will deliver real solutions to reduce surgery waiting lists, build five new hospitals, fix Triple Zero, and deliver the health services Victorians deserve.”
