Taking the train to Geelong today, Victorian Liberal Leader Michael O’Brien welcomed the Morrison Government’s $2 billion commitment to deliver a 32 minute fast rail service between Geelong and Melbourne.
This congesting busting investment by the Federal Government will almost halve the travel time between Geelong and Southern Cross Station.
Investment into Geelong rail will also help ease the congestion on the Princes Freeway and the West Gate Bridge which have both struggled to keep up with the unmanaged population growth Victoria has experienced over the past 4 years under the Andrews Labor Government.
