Day four of policing response to Gold Coast Schoolies 2019

Police were pleased with the overall crowd behaviour at the 2019 Schoolies celebrations overnight with a large crowd continuing to converge in the Surfers Paradise CBD.

There were nine schoolies arrested on 10 offences overnight, mainly for drug possession. Of those arrested, eight were male and one was a female schoolie.

In comparison for the same night in 2018 there were also 9 schoolies arrested.

Two schoolies were also issued with liquor infringements notices.

There were 15 non-schoolies arrested on 23 charges relating to public nuisance and drug possession.

Police continue to remind school leavers to act responsibly, stay safe and watch your mates.
