A man has died and two officers have been injured in an incident in Wilsonton this afternoon.
At 12.25pm, police were called to Stone Street following reports of a man allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle.
It is believed when officers attempted to arrest the 27-year-old man, he suffered a medical episode and was declared deceased at the scene.
Two police officers were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment to injuries sustained during the incident.
The Ethical Standards Command is investigating on behalf of the State Coroner.
