The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating the death of a 39-year-old woman that occurred in the early hours of this morning.
Around 12:30am, police received a report of an unresponsive woman on a footpath in Leanyer, Darwin.
It is believed a man known to the woman was walking with her when she ran out of breath and lost consciousness.
The man commenced CPR but was unable to revive her, causing him to run to a nearby shopping centre and contact police.
St Johns Ambulance attended and located the female dead on the scene.
The death is believed to be the result of a medical incident.
