The deceased man found in a Holden Colorado utility destroyed by fire in bushland in the Nugent-Buckland area on Monday 10 October has now been formally identified, following forensic DNA testing.
The deceased is confirmed to be Robert George Greig, 33 years, of Brighton.
Mr Greig’s family has been updated in respect to the matter.
The cause and circumstances surrounding Mr Greig’s death continue to be investigated by Professional Standards and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
