It’s the final Cutting Edge for 2023 and provides some round ups of the year that was, including from the National Committee (From the Chair, pg.1) and from RACS in Aotearoa New Zealand generally (pg.8). We’ve included achievements made by our Fellows this year (pg.5) and created a video of our 2023 highlights.
Also in this issue we announce an opportunity to undergo cultural competency CPD for free (pg.3), introduce Te Rau Poka – RACS surgical academy for Māori (pg.4) and share our briefing paper to the new Minister of Health (pg.6).
Fun fact: 63 per cent of Aotearoa New Zealand Fellows and Trainees used the RACS online library in the last 12 months (pg.9).
