Delivering better facilities for Melba College

After two years of interrupted learning, a Matthew Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will provide students and teachers at Melba College in Croydon with modern facilities to teach and learn.

The Liberals and Nationals will provide $12 million for Stage 3 upgrades at Melba College to replace the current outdated facilities at the school.

The upgrades will include the construction of a new performing arts space,new college oval, and improved car parking. Old school buildings containing asbestos will also be removed as part of the works.

Leader of the Opposition, Matthew Guy, said all Victorian students and teachers deserve access to the very best facilities and learning spaces available.

“A Government I lead will deliver the facilities that local communities need to move forward, recover and rebuild,” Mr Guy said.

“After two years of home learning, it’s as important as ever to invest in our schools and deliver quality facilities for all students.”

Shadow Minister for Education and Member for Croydon, David Hodgett, said parents need the confidence and assurance their children will receive a quality education and learning experience.

“I’m proud to be making this significant investment which will deliver even better facilities for current and future students at Melba College.”

“Only the Liberals and Nationals will back local families and students in Croydon by delivering this much needed upgrade.”
