I am delighted to announce the final Director appointment to the City of Ballarat’s senior leadership team.

Natalie Robertson has been appointed Director Development and Growth.

Natalie will commence in the role on Monday 14 September 2020.

Natalie brings with her a wealth of experience, skills and expertise that will enable the City of Ballarat to better deliver on Council’s commitments and the community’s expectations. Natalie has extensive experience in Statutory and Strategic Planning, Regulatory Services and many major projects related to economic growth and development.

Natalie has 19 years’ experience in the local government sector and has a Graduate Diploma in Urban, Rural and Regional Planning from La Trobe University and is studying a Master of Business Administration from Federation University.

Natalie began work at the City of Ballarat in 2014 and from her role as Executive Manager Development Facilitation stepped in to the role of Acting Director Development and Growth in August.

Natalie is committed to leading cultural change within the City of Ballarat. She will join newly appointed Director Community Wellbeing Matthew Wilson, Director Corporate Services Sean Portelli and Director Infrastructure and Environment Bridget Wetherall in implementing the Action Plan as a result of the Organisational Governance and Culture Assessment review, now being conducted by Susan Halliday AM.

I am confident the City of Ballarat’s newly appointed Directors will steer the organisation as it faces a new era – with the induction of a new council, and guide our council’s approach and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
