Discounts and Concession Guide Released

Roger Jaensch,Minister for Human Services

The 2019-2020 Tasmanian Government Discounts and Concessions Guide is now available to support Tasmanians from all walks of life, from students to older Tasmanians, or those that may need a bit of extra support.

With over 90 different types of concessions and discounts provided by the Tasmanian Government, the guide includes essential services such as housing, electricity, water and sewerage, health services and public transport.

There are concessions to assist Tasmanians to access services including education, and parks and heritage sites around Tasmania or to reduce the cost of applying for a driving licence or registering a car.

Ticket to Play vouchers are also available, offering up to $100 in value towards club membership for eligible children and young people aged five to seventeen years.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government understands that some Tasmanians are in need of assistance, which is why we are taking decisive action to address cost of living pressures.

Tasmanians can collect their copy of the Guide from Service Tasmania shops, local councils, Neighbourhood Houses, community organisations, service providers and Tasmanian and Australian Government offices.

The Guide is online at www.concessions.tas.gov.au
