You don’t have to leave The Hills to discover hidden gems, secret charms, wonderful scenery and native wildlife.

Get to know more about Norwest and Bella Vista on The Hills Shire’s newest walk – The Bella Vista to Norwest Metro Walk.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said Council’s newest walk had something for everyone.

“Norwest and Bella Vista are beautiful places,” Mayor Byrne said.

“Our newest walk showcases why these suburbs are highly sought after, as well as some of the natural scenery which not many people know about.

“This walk takes you to a number of small lakes and creeks lines, where you can see plenty of bird life and local wildlife, as well as between Norwest and Bella Vista Metro Stations.

“We have a number of parks and playgrounds to stop in and exercise – like Fairway Drive Park which has a children’s playground and sheltered park benches and tables – perfect for families.

“And we’ve got plenty of great local restaurants and cafes, where you can grab a coffee or enjoy a bite to eat on your way to the metro station,” Mayor Byrne added.

The 4.4 kilometre walk takes one to two hours to complete, and can be broken down into smaller walks. It can also be reversed.

“It’s a great way to discover more about your local community and get active in the process,” Mayor Byrne added.

Please follow current COVID-19 safety restrictions and maintain social distancing when undertaking outdoor exercise.
