“The Australian Doctors Reform Society welcomes the report that PM Albanese will reinstate $750 covid payments and reverse the Morrison governments decision that stopped Covid payments on June 30th for casually employed people who have to isolate with covid”said Dr Robert Marr OAM, GP and National Secretary General of Australian Doctors Reform Society.
“As a GP I have treated casually employed patients who have respiratory symptoms but who dont want to be tested for covid because they would have to isolate if they were diagnosed with covid and they dont have any sick leave and could not afford to pay for food or rent if they had no income”said Dr Marr.
“It is good to see PM Albanese act so quickly, ïn response to medical advice, and to reverse the Morrison governments cut to the $750 covid payment because Australia is still in a covid pandemic and needs people with covid to isolate and stop the spread of covid”said Dr Marr
