“Don’t leave valuables in vehicles”, urge Broken Hill police, NSW

Police are reminding motorists not to leave valuables in their vehicles after items were stolen from a car in the state’s far west overnight.

Between 9pm Sunday (4 August 2019) and 7am yesterday (Monday 5 August 2019), the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on Wolfram Street at Broken Hill was smashed and several items stolen.

Among the items was a wallet containing credit cards, and an iPhone.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District were notified of the incident and commenced an investigation.

About 5am yesterday (Monday 5 August 2019), a credit card stolen from the vehicle was used at a business on the corner of Argent and Silver streets at Broken Hill.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident or a group of persons who were occupying Argent and Silver streets around 5am yesterday is urged to contact Broken Hill Police Station on 8087
