Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community feedback on its revised Naming of Roads and Places Policy, which is now on public exhibition until Sunday, 7 September 2026.
The draft Naming of Roads and Places Policy provides guidance for the naming of suburbs, roads, parks and reserves, buildings and other public places, including gardens, car parks, and open spaces across the Hawkesbury local government area.
The current policy was adopted by Council on 22 November 2022 and has recently undergone a review to ensure it remains compliant with relevant requirements and continues to meet the needs of Council’s naming activities.
Council resolved at its meeting on 21 July 2026 to place the draft Naming of Roads and Places Policy on public exhibition to provide residents and stakeholders with the opportunity to review the document and provide feedback.
