Drink driver crashes at golf course

A woman was reported for drink driving after crashing her car at a golf course in North Adelaide overnight.

Police were called to Strangways Terrace, North Adelaide about 4.30am on Monday 11 July after a driver took a wrong turn into a driveway at the golf course and crashed into a bollard.

The driver, a 23-year-old Parafield Gardens woman, was allegedly intoxicated but failed to comply with breath analysis and instead was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital to have a blood sample taken.

Neither she nor her male passenger were injured.

The driver was reported for fail to comply with breath analysis, drink driving, driving without due care and breach the conditions of her probationary licence.

She was issued with a 12 month instant loss of licence and her car was impounded for 28 days. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
