Driver Hospitalised After Truck Crash Near Tumut

A man has suffered serious injuries following a truck crash in the Riverina today.

About 2.30pm today (Wednesday 24 June 2026), emergency services were called to the Snowy Mountains Highway, about 10km south west of Tumut, following reports of a truck crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver – a man believed to be aged in his 60s – at the scene, before he was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene, which will be assessed by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
