Drugs and cash located after Warrnambool arrest

Warrnambool police have arrested two men allegedly in possession of a large amount of drugs and cash after a car was intercepted on Mahoney’s Road on Friday night.

Police intercepted the vehicle at 9.30pm and spoke to the learner driver, a 23-year-old Warrnambool man and his passenger, a 22-year-old Seaholme man before conducting a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search police allegedly found an amount of cash in the vehicle with the passenger also testing positive to a roadside drug test.

A short time later police executed a warrant at an address in Greenvale Court where investigators allegedly found a large amount of drugs which included MDMA, cocaine and cannabis.

Police also found a large amount of cash on the premises.

As a result the two occupants of the vehicle, have been charged with possess proceeds of crime, possess traffickable amount of drug of dependence and driving offences.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 July.
