Eat Your Heart Out to light up Norfolk Serviceway

26 August 2019

With 15 food outlets, more than a dozen artists, a giant heart sculpture and a brand new mural, Eat Your Heart Out Liverpool is set to be the best yet.

On Saturday 31 August, 1-9pm, Norfolk Serviceway will light up with live music, art and culture and amazing food.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said she couldn’t wait to experience this year’s festival.

“Eat Your Heart Out shows our CBD at its most vibrant,” Mayor Waller said.

“This year we have such a great range of performances, activities, market stalls and delicious food that everyone will have something to enjoy.

“The hardest part will be choosing what to eat – make sure you bring your appetite.”

Savoury offerings include Greek favourites Lambda, delectable fried chicken from Dirty Bird, the South American-inspired El Caminito, Mexican fare from El Topo Cantina, tasty woodfired pizza from YouPizza, slow-cooked pulled pork and beef from Rangers Texas BBQ, gourmet German bratwurst, modern Indian cuisine from Indian Taste Liverpool and fresh Vietnamese flavours from Bun Me Baguette.

For dessert, choose from Dutch-style dessert pancakes from Angy’s Pancakes, the sweetest Turkish treats from Nefiz or Lebanese treats from Al Israa Sweets.

Wash it down with a juice or smoothie made from fresh fruit by Tropicana, a drink from Macquarie Bistro’s pop-up bar or a coffee from The Spot.

“Highlighting a hidden pocket of Liverpool’s City Centre and the businesses you find there is one of the purposes behind Eat Your Heart Out,” Mayor Waller said.

“I’m so pleased to see so many local food outlets are among the mix this year.”
