Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is aware of a fire burning near Clift Road, Ellerbeck. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews will continue patrol and monitor the fire in the coming days. This fire is burning safely in an inaccessible area and is posing no immediate threat to property at this time. Smoke may affect surrounding areas and will be visible along the Bruce Highway. Residents are advised to close windows and doors, and those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
