An Emergency Alert has been issued to residents in Nome, Julago and Alligator Creek.
The message advises residents of the chance of increased rainfall on top of already elevated flood levels. This may cause water levels to rise and flash flooding to occur.
Residents are advised to move to higher ground if concerned.
