Emergency crews responding to fatal house fire in Quakers Hill

Emergency services remain on the scene of a fatal house fire in Sydney’s west this morning.

About 6.20pm (Friday 30 December 2022), emergency services were called to Mannix Place near Clinton Street, Quakers Hill, after reports a garage attached to a home was alight.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW and the body of a woman was located inside the garage.

The body is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established by officers from Riverstone Police Area Command, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.

An investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the fire has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
