Emergency crews responding to house fire in Whalan

A crime scene has been established following a house fire in Sydney’s west overnight.

Emergency services were called to a home on Luxford Road, Whalan just after 12.30am (Saturday 19 September 2020), following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, with the garage completely destroyed and a neighbouring property sustaining minor damage.

No one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
