We want local young people to show off their camera skills and the animals, fungi, plants and bugs that are native to our area.

March 3 is World Wildlife Day and we’re celebrating our local wildlife with a photography competition.

‘I’m really excited to see all your brilliant photos come in,’ says Mayor, Kenrick Winchester.

‘This competition is a great way to get out and learn more about some of the unique critters that call our region home.’

‘There are some great prizes for Best Entry in each of the four age categories and an overall prize. The best photos in each category will also be on display in our library.’

Get the best picture you can – but be careful not to touch or hurt any plants or animals while you’re there!

The competition is open to people 18 years and under who live in our local government area.

All the photos will be displayed from 6pm on Friday 8 March during the Awards Ceremony in Bicentennial Hall.

Head to https://www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Events/2024-World-Wildlife-Day-Photo-Competition for more details and to enter.

Entries close at 11:59pm on Sunday 3 March.
