Manju Sofia Pitchai is a PhD candidate undertaking research focused on enhancing osseointegration to maximise the success of dental implantology. She hopes that her work will inspire other young dental graduates to become researchers.
At the close of business on 31 March this year, the ADRF received 114 applications for funding support from dental researchers, just like Manju, from across Australia.
The ADRF would need in excess of $1.2m to fund them all.
Over the next few months, the ADRF’s Research Advisory Committee, under the leadership of its newly appointed Chair, Associate Professor Deb Cockrell AM will assess each application and recommend to the ADRF Board of Directors which projects should receive funding support. These are tough decisions … and that’s why our assessment process is so rigorous.
We know that among those who miss out on funding, there remain projects that merit funding. With your help, we can increase the number of projects that can be supported.
