If you are using the extra time at home to finally clean out the cupboards, garage or shed please note that visiting the Bayside Waste and Recycling Centre in Talinga Road to drop off waste and recycling is not considered an essential activity.
Under Victorian Government Stage 3 social distancing restrictions, you can leave home for 4 essential activities – shopping for what you need, medical/care or compassionate needs, exercise or for work/education.
The Bayside Waste and Recycling Centre is open for the essential disposal of goods that can’t be disposed of in another way, eg via the hard waste collection service or kerbside waste/recycling collections. Essential disposal means disposing of an item (or items) which is affecting the health or safety of the household.
