Expression of Interest – Audit and Risk Committee

The Borough of Queenscliffe is seeking to appoint four suitably qualified and experienced independent persons to join its Audit & Risk Committee.

Independent members of the Committee must collectively have:

• expertise in financial management;

• expertise in risk; and

• experience in public sector management

Council’s Audit & Risk Committee Charter further outlines the responsibilities, duties and expectations of independent members and all interested persons are encouraged to read the Charter before submitting an expression of interest. Click here to read the charter.

Council is seeking to appoint four members for an initial three-year period. The Audit & Risk Committee, comprising three Councillors and four independent members, meets four times per year with additional meetings as required. A sitting allowance will be paid ($800 Chair; $550 other independent members per meeting)

Expressions of Interest close at 4:00pm on Friday 22 September 2023. Interviews are proposed to be held in the week of Mon 2 to Fri 6 October 2023. The Borough of Queenscliffe values diversity and particularly encourages First Nations people and women to apply for these positions.
