City of Darwin is welcoming Expressions of Interest for a lead tenant at the Lyons Community Centre.
Located within Garamanak Park on Damabila Drive, Lyons, the centre is a purpose-built facility designed to support community activity, connection, and wellbeing in Darwin’s northern suburbs.
The building includes:
- 150 m² hall space with lockable storage
- Fully-equipped kitchen with two serveries
- meeting and office spaces
- accessible amenities
- secure playground
- off-street parking
The building is classified as Class 9b which allows gatherings for social, educational, recreational, political, religious, or civic purposes.
City of Darwin seeks a lead tenant to activate and manage the facility in a way that:
- Encourages diverse community use and participation,
- Provides opportunities for local groups and organisations, and
- Contributes to the safety and activation of Garamanak Park through day and evening activity.
All submissions must be lodged via the City of Darwin Tender Portal.
