Expressions of Interest Now Open for the 2024 East Devonport Jobs Forum

Devonport City Council Tasmania

Following the resounding success of the 2022 and 2023 events, Devonport City Council is pleased to announce that the East Devonport Jobs Forum will be returning in 2024. Local employers are now invited to submit Expressions of Interest to participate in this important community event, which aims to connect Devonport businesses with potential employees.

On Thursday 24 October, the 2024 forum will once again be open to employers from across the Devonport community, offering a unique opportunity to find the right candidates for their business. With last year’s event drawing interest from a wide range of industries, the forum is set to provide an even greater platform for businesses seeking talent.

Mayor of Devonport, Cr Alison Jarman, emphasised the importance of the event, stating, “The East Devonport Jobs Forum has proven to be a valuable initiative for both businesses and job seekers. This event plays a key role in strengthening our local economy and ensuring that businesses can tap into the incredible talent we have right here in Devonport.”

Stakeholders for the event include East Devonport Child and Family Learning Centre, East Devonport Neighbourhood House, Pathway Shed, Youth Family and Community Connections, West North West Working, Workforce Australia, Future Isle, Mission Australia and Asuria.

“By bringing together employers and job seekers, we are fostering relationships that go beyond the event itself. This forum is not just about filling vacancies-it’s about creating long-term opportunities and supporting the continued growth of our region.”
