Police are investigating a fatal collision that has claimed the life of a motorist in Invergordon this morning.
Investigators have been told a vehicle was travelling north around a bend on Katamatite-Shepparton Road when it drifted onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a truck about 7.10am.
The driver of the car, a yet to be identified woman, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
