A cyclist has died in a traffic crash in Biggera Waters this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate around 4.40pm a man on a bicycle has attempted to cross Oxley Drive near the intersection of Harbourside Court when he was struck by a car headed south on Oxley Drive.
The rider, a 70-year-old Gold Coast man, died at the scene.
The female driver of the hatchback and her passenger were not physically injured.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.
