Police are investigating following a townhouse fire that claimed the life of a man in Point Cook this morning.
Emergency services were called to Totem Way to reports of a house fire which had spread to nearby residences about 3.40am on Wednesday.
One townhouse was destroyed by the blaze and two others damaged.
Sadly, a yet to be identified man was located deceased inside the destroyed townhouse.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and an arson chemist is attending the scene.
