Fatal pedestrian v truck collision in Geelong

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in Geelong on Thursday evening, 16 June.

It is believed the man was struck by the truck at the intersection of Latrobe Terrace and Aberdeen Street around 7pm.

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old Corio man was taken to hospital with life-threatening-injuries, but has sadly died.

The driver of the truck stopped and is helping police with their enquiries.

The circumstances surrounding the collision will be investigated.
