A woman has died following a single vehicle crash in the Hawkesbury area this morning.
About 1.35am (Sunday 27 September 2026), emergency services were called to Putty Road, Mellong, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and located a single vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled onto its roof.
A passenger, a woman believed to be in her 40’s, died at the scene. She is yet to be formerly identified.
Three other occupants, aged 44, 38, and 20, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries, before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
