Fatal traffic crash at Currumbin Waters, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Currumbin Waters last night, December 9.

Initial investigations indicate shortly after 7pm, a Toyota Hilux was travelling north on the Pacific Motorway, when it lost control and rolled before colliding with a Kia Carnival.

The driver of the Hilux, a 20-year-old Nerang man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Three other occupants of the Hilux received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

The 44-year-old male driver and two passengers in the Kia Carnival were not injured in the incident.
