Police can confirm one person died following a serious single-vehicle crash on SH45, Ōpunake, on Thursday 18 June.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 4.30pm.
Sadly, the sole occupant died at the scene a short time later.
Our condolences are with their family at this difficult time.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
