Police can confirm a person has died following the serious crash on a section of State Highway 1 at Koromiko, between Picton and Blenheim last night.
The single vehicle crash was reported shortly before 9pm.
One lane remains closed and Police will be back at the crash site this morning to conduct a scene examination.
