Feast of appreciation at STEPS Pathways College

STEPS Pathways Charity

STEPS Pathways Charity hosted its Sponsors Appreciation Luncheon this Friday, May 12, to thank both old and new sponsors who generously supported last year’s STEPS Grand Winter Ball, while also unveiling the exciting details of this year’s ball.

The STEPS Grand Winter Ball is the one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier black-tie events, offering the opportunity for members of the community to experience a night of elegance all in the name of raising vital funds for young adults living with a disability and autism.

And it was the STEPS Pathways College students who took centre stage on the day, delighting sponsors with their newfound culinary skills, helping curate and execute a delicious menu.

STEPS managing director Carmel Crouch emphasised just how big of a role sponsors play in allowing the students to learn essential life skills like cooking.

“At STEPS Pathways College, our students gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate various aspects of life, enabling them to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Without the generous ongoing support of our sponsors, these opportunities simply wouldn’t exist,” she said.

“The STEPS Grand Winter Ball is our biggest fundraising event of the year, and our sponsors play a crucial role in making it a resounding success every time. Their contributions continue to be instrumental in transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities,” Ms Crouch said.

The event welcomed some of the Sunshine Coast’s most well-known business leaders including presenting partner of the 2023 STEPS Grand Winter Ball Brendan Wavell-Smith of Prima Commercial Fitouts, Brett Mills of Ken Mills Toyota and Jason Van der Walt of ion smart business solutions.
