Sydneysiders can treat themselves to food from every continent in the world* at food festival Liverpool on a Roll, which returns by popular demand to a picturesque parkland setting on Saturday 9 November.
Created as a celebration of South West Sydney’s vibrant multicultural community, the festival highlights international cuisine ‘on a roll’, including bao, burritos, burgers and more.
“Food remains a bridge between cultures, bringing people from all walks of life together,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.
“With this in mind, food continues to be a special part of Liverpool City Council’s celebrations. At Liverpool on a Roll, the focus on food is dialled up ten-fold.
“We’re proud of our region’s multicultural community and cannot wait to showcase this through delicious international cuisine and great entertainment in a beautiful parkland setting.”
Liverpool on a Roll will also feature live entertainment, garden games and a pop-up beer garden with an Aperol Spritz Hut and a ‘barcade’, featuring Atari Pong cocktail tables, foosball and table tennis. There’ll also be plenty of hands-on fun for the young and young at heart in the Willowdale Open-Air Arcade, where attendees will find Daytona 4 Player race car simulators, pinball and pro basketball machines.
“Liverpool on a Roll is a great opportunity to bring the best in food to our suburbs, while also sharing a taste of the Great South West with those who live beyond our city,” Mayor Waller said.
“All food items will be $12 or less and people are welcome to pull up a rug and enjoy a picnic overlooking the picturesque park pond as the sun sets.”
Liverpool on a Roll will be held from 4pm – 10pm on Saturday 9 November at Greenway Park, West Hoxton. Event supporters include Stockland Willowdale (Diamond Sponsor), Network Ten (Exclusive TV Partner) and 2DayFM (Metro Radio Partner).
