Police are investigating a fire this evening at the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie.
One person is in custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Police and Tasmania Fire Service crews from Burnie and Devonport responded to the fire at the hospital’s Spencer Clinic about 6.30 tonight.
The fire has been contained to the Spencer Clinic area, and firefighters remain on scene to monitor conditions.
There are no serious injuries reported, although some patients have been treated for smoke inhalation.
